2 The standard thermocouple measuring end should be placed near the sample analysis position, but the sample or furnace inner wall should not be touched to prevent contamination or damage to the standard thermocouple.

3 Measurement of furnace temperature uniformity must be carried out under no-load conditions and reach a state of thermal stability. For an electric resistance furnace with a fan, the fan should work normally during the measurement.

4 After the temperature reaches the temperature control point, in order to make the furnace temperature uniform and stable, it is necessary to control the temperature for 30 minutes before reading. Since the secondary instrument of the resistance furnace is not synchronized with the millivoltmeter display, the highest and lowest values ​​of the millivoltmeter are read for each round reading, and the highest and lowest values ​​displayed by the secondary gauge are read accordingly.

5 If the indication error is too large, check if the furnace is working properly. For example, in order to prevent the stainless steel protection tube of the control instrument thermocouple from being short-circuited with the furnace wire, an insulating porcelain tube is placed on the control instrument thermocouple, so that the insulating porcelain tube should be shortened so as to avoid the actual exposed length of the control instrument thermocouple. It is 8 to 10 times shorter than the thermocouple protection tube; the hole of the control instrument thermocouple inserted on the furnace wall should be tightly sealed to prevent heat loss in the nearby area. Under actual circumstances, certain measures can be taken to reduce the field correction value of the furnace temperature with a larger absolute value of the indication error.

6 After the calibration is finished, in order to avoid damage to the thermocouple or shorten the life of the thermocouple, the standard thermocouple cannot be quickly removed, and the furnace door cannot be opened quickly because the rapid cooling will damage the furnace.
