Farm ammonia meter use method

Farm ammonia meter use method

The breeding industry environment has become a thorny problem. Waste from farms not only causes adverse effects on livestock and poultry, but also poses a serious threat to the surrounding environment. Breeding livestock houses often smells a pungent smell of ammonia. There are two main sources of ammonia in livestock houses: one is derived from animal bodies, mainly gastrointestinal digestive materials, excrement, etc. The other is ammonia in the home environment, mainly organic residues such as feed residues and bedding. Decomposition of corruption. The ammonia content of the livestock house is closely related to the stocking density, the temperature and humidity of the livestock house, and the structure of the livestock house. According to the characteristics of ammonia gas, the higher the temperature and humidity in the livestock house, the higher the ammonia concentration. Ammonia is a recognized source of stress in animal housing. When the ammonia concentration is 10-15 mg/kg, it will reduce the animal's resistance to infection. In addition, excessive ammonia gas entering the animal's respiratory tract can cause symptoms such as cough, bronchitis, dyspnea, and suffocation, which seriously affect the health of the animals and affect the development of the aquaculture industry. At this time, determine the concentration of ammonia in the breeding enclosure - Kumbak Ammonia Detector (click here for details) to become a good helper for ammonia and ammonia. The use of Kumbak ammonia detector and precautions:

1, take more measurements.

Measured on the survey points of the housing: Airways in the corridor (2-3 locations), inside the housing (multiple laps, 1-2 locations/circle), underground windows, skylights, etc., upper air measurement in the housing (2 locations) The crop sheds took measurements: corridors (2-3 locations), average internal points (4-5 locations), and upper-middle air intake points (4-5 locations).

2, control the height of the point.

When measuring different animal housings, the heights of the points are different, usually the air layer of the animal (body height) or the point below the air layer. For example, the height of the pig house is usually 30-50cm, and the height of the chicken house is 10-20cm. In the crop shed, height point measurement is generally performed according to the actual condition of the crop growth height.

3, regular fixed-point measurement.

After several measurements by the Kumbu Ammonia Detector, compare the concentration of ammonia gas in the pens or sheds, and then focus on selecting the representative points, conduct fixed-point timing analysis, reduce chance, ensure that the sheds or sheds The ammonia concentration within a certain range.

4, make a record analysis.

The results of the measurements are recorded to facilitate comparison and analysis; at the same time, attention is paid to the concentration of ammonia gas in the housing so that ventilation can be performed in a timely manner.

5, pay attention to instrument maintenance.

For details, please refer to “6 Cautions, 7 Special Notes” in the operation instructions of the Kumbu Ammonia Detector.

Different animals have different tolerance to ammonia concentration. Ruminants are more tolerant to ammonia than monogastric animals. Pigs are more tolerant than chickens, and young chicks are more sensitive to ammonia. The ammonia gas detector can monitor the ammonia gas in the farm at any time and anywhere to effectively control the livestock disease.
