Avoid the "burning" phenomenon of fruit trees

In midsummer, a kind of physical disease caused by local sunburn or local temperature overheating caused some localized burns in some parts of fruit trees. "Nisaki" is caused by the high temperature of the sun, but it is related to the lack of water and drought in the soil. If the soil is deficient in water, the transpiration of the fruit tree will be impeded, resulting in "burning", which mainly damages the fruit and the cortex of the branches. Diseased trees or trees with weaker tree vigor are the most affected. The main symptoms of the stem "sunburn" are: horizontal cracking of the stems, destruction of the epidermis, reduction of the weight of the shoots, and prone to breakage; some of the skin of the shoots is browned off, and even black, such as burnt, and dry and cracked. Newly planted saplings, near the surface of the roots and neck, are more likely to be burned by high temperatures and die. The "sunburning" of the fruit mainly occurs on the periphery of the canopy with few leaves on the sunny side. The first hot water-like plaques appear, and then the blackening expands and even cracks or rotten fruit.

Midsummer is the fruiting period of apple, pear, kiwifruit, and southern citrus fruit in northern China. It is a critical period for the production and quality of fruit trees. At this time, sunburn, fruit cracking and fruit drop are often caused by high temperatures and strong sunlight. Without prevention and control, production will be reduced by 20% to 50%, and the quality of the fruit will decline, which will seriously affect economic efficiency.
