Abalone breeding techniques

Abalone breeding techniques

In order to raise the abalone, the bait is particularly important and must be prepared in advance. Before the larva is collected, the collector must be pre-attached with benthic diatoms or placed in a flat thin culture pond for several days, and then these adherent diatoms and monocytic algae should be added. The harvester was moved into a larval culture pond to collect larvae. In the process of raising abalone, algae cultivation should be continuously strengthened. In addition to adding a proper amount of nutrients in the larval culture pool, the light should be enhanced to promote the reproduction rate of benthic diatoms, so that the breeding population of benthic diatoms and larvae or juvenile abalone. The food intake maintains a balance. If there is not enough food, you must replace the bait or replace the bait plate after changing the water to meet the larvae's intake. During the nursery season, abalone should be protected against solitary pathogens. Individuals suffering from this disease should not be inactive. The epithelial tissue of abalone should fall off and severe irritated patients should have no response to mechanical stimulation. There are active bacteria in the blood, the body fades, the tentacles are weak, the visceral mass shrinks, and the feet retract. The abalone grows to 1 cm from the metamorphosis, resulting in persistent death and sometimes death peaks. When the red abalone is young, it is prone to gonorrhea, and the biochemical characteristics of isolated solitary bacteria are close to algaecide solitary bacteria. Under normal high temperature conditions or oxygenation is prone to the disease. Prevention of this disease should be mainly to enable the young abalone to be cultured in a suitable environment, and the abalone can be used for drug-impregnated wounds. The treatment can be used: (1) chloramphenicol 2510E-6 ~ 5010E-6 concentration of sea water immersed for 0.5 to 1 hour, or immersed in a 1% solution of the new sinensis bath for 5 minutes. (2) Apply chloramphenicol or compound sulfamethoxazole to a 5% concentrated seawater solution to rub the wound. The above-mentioned drug treatment methods all require the abalone to be placed in the air for 10 to 15 minutes so that the liquid can fully infiltrate the lesion and then be returned to the sea for feeding. In addition, treatment was repeated once more on the second day if necessary.
