Early prevention of wheat sheath blight with thiadiazole in spring

In recent years, the planting area of direct-seeded rice in northern Jiangsu and other places is relatively large, resulting in a generally late sowing of wheat. In order to ensure the late sowing of wheat production, the sowing amount is often greatly increased. The amount of seed used per mu is 20 to 30 kilograms in high plots. The field wheat seedlings grow too densely. As the spring temperature rises, the wheat rapidly recovers and the field closes. Degree will further increase, which is conducive to occurrence of sheath blight. From November to December 2011, the rainfall in Subei was sufficient, the humidity in the field was large, some crops had sheath blight, and the wheat sheaths had obvious black spots. It is expected that the occurrence of wheat sheath blight later this year will be more serious than last year. The prevention and control of pesticides in early spring is an important method to control wheat sheath blight. At present, Jinggangmycin, Jinggang waxy blight, and Jinggang Bacteria have been used for prevention and control of drugs. However, these medicines have a short duration of efficacy, and farmers often wait until after the onset of the disease and have poor results. Thiofloxacin is a benzoic acid bactericide, registered for the control of rice sheath blight, highly selective, better control of rust, smut, sheath blight and other diseases, the effective period of 30 to 45 days . In recent years, the author has carried out studies on the application of thiadiramide in wheat. The experimental data show that on March 5 and March 15 before the start of jointing of wheat, 10 ml of 24% Thioferamide suspension was used per mu. 20 ml, 30 days after treatment, 94.38%, 97.78%, 97.41%, and 97.41% of control efficacy against sheath blight, respectively, and white spike rate were all 0; and April 5 and April 15 after wheat jointing With the same medicament treatment, the control effect on wheat sheath blight was significantly reduced. The test results showed that before the jointing of wheat, it was the best period to control sheath blight, with 10 to 20 ml of 24% Thioferamide suspension per acre, which could effectively control the occurrence of sheath blight, reduce white spikes, and significantly increase yield. effect.
